Chicago Entrepreneur Support – A Small Business Community of Achievement

When we opened our doors, the goals of Big Ooga have always been to help Chicago area entrepreneurs become smarter, more successful and better connected. What we evolved into at “Hello” was a magnificent community of intelligent entrepreneurs and small business owners who genuinely cared about achieving success while helping others do the same.

We became a Chicago entrepreneurial community of people who insisted business was an ambitious, challenging and fair place where knowledge, skills and relationships were shared; where quality and excellence of work were just as important as excellence in character, and we have proved to ourselves that this type of culture can not only be joyous and supportive, but lucrative.

We have not sponsored classes that were unnecessary.  We haven’t offered expertise we didn’t believe in. We have not encouraged people to join without references and excellent reputations. And for those who have “thrown us under the bus” we have silently denied them access to our sandbox.

I’m not going to kid you, this has been one foot in front of the other with a spaghetti bowl of exploration and experimentation in the middle. Having personally lived through incredibly turbulent times, once as a child, once as a young mother, and now as a grown up within this current context – I am still convinced that life and business unfolds by making examined, wise and informed choices – peppered with flexibility, vision and the invaluable advise and perspective of trusted colleagues, friends and associates at every level of experience and imagination.

As Big Ooga moves toward the cusp of its next level of evolution our goals remain the same; to make you smarter, more successful and more connected. If you are still reading this..here are the next few steps you can take.

1. Join us.  Becoming part of a community is the smarter choice. Go to the website, click on JOIN as a Listing Member and become part of this community.   You will be able to come to the networking events for Free and bring guests.  Once you are a member, you will be personally connected so that we can help your company grow and develop. If you are saying you can’t afford to invest in yourself right now..you can find the $14.95 per month – because that’s all it takes.

3. Come to the next meeting. It is First Tuesday, November 9th at Ina’s where the entire space is ours, the parking is free and the program is devoted to FREE and Low Cost PR and Marketing Tools. This is not a mosh pit experience.  You will be greeted as a friend and introduced. If you just want to try us out, you can also just buy a single ticket. But by all means come!
