Every Waking Moment – small business advice

How much time do you estimate you spend thinking about your business?  It probably ranges from – every waking moment to only when I can shut it off.

The real heavy lifting of the entrepreneur’s journey is the thinking process.  Our work is problem solving on the fly.  To do this we are supposed to know what we are doing. The irony is we only know what we’re doing after we’ve done it – either right or wrong.

If you’re asking yourself, “How do I find new business opportunities?”  “How do I develop a new revenue model?” “Who or what is the next best business resource?”  “Where am I really going anyway?”  “And do I really need to hire a consultant?” You are not alone.

Searching for entrepreneurial solutions IS the job. Learning constantly is a requirement.  Anguish is the unspoken companion.  And that’s only for the happy ones.

Some would argue, it’s about great plans.  Others would argue plans fly out the window in reality.  I think it’s somewhere in the middle.

Think being the operative word.
