Chicago Entrepreneurs Speak – Survey Reveals Top Goals

Big Ooga recently sent out a survey to find out what our members want for the coming year.  Did they want to meet more wonderful people?  Did they want to learn more skills? Did they want small group think-tanks and Mastermind groups? Did they want to create products or go to entrepreneurial camp?

NOT REALLY.

The # 1 Goal identified was – increase business.

This may sound like a no-brainer – but it was a real wake-up call.  The main point they made is that it is not about finding people, it is about getting found by the companies and customers that need them.

Networking is a means to an end. (see goal # 1)

80% of Big Oogans would like more speakers at our events.

69% want skills, knowledge & niche connections delivered in small group settings

When we boiled it down, revenues drive business.  People drive revenues and word of mouth drives people.

So it still comes down to meeting fine people with excellent track records who have generous hearts. It still boils down to learning from great teachers who care about giving you results.

Great people will help you create and innovate.  Great people will refer you to others and care about the work they do for you.  GREAT people will CARE ABOUT you so you can DRIVE BUSINESS.

And guess what else? The Chicago area small business community is FILLED with great people.  It is our job to help you meet them. It is your job to be GREAT.
